Genea

In life, everything is gestation and birth. Stars, planets, seas, trees, insects, mammals, humans, ideas, inspirations. Gestation emanates from the concentration of energy at one point. Energy that gathers to give new light, new life.

ORBE

The monarchs and kings of antiquity kept an orb among the crown’s jewels, a symbol of the globe, authority, and responsibility of good government. It is said that they kept ashes inside the orb as a reminder of the transition of life and death and, with it, the humility necessary for self-control.

It is thus, for us, that Orbe tries to remind us of the government of our own life and the humble responsibility towards our fellow human beings,  our environment, our world.

Artemis

Artemis is the symbol of the crescent moon in Greek mythology. Through the centuries in many cultures, it is the symbol of new beginnings since the Moon with its influence on earth as its light ascends promotes the germination and growth of seeds, it also increases the possibility of rain and thus abundance.
It is related to the manifestation of Light.
Thus, the Sculpture intends to represent the energy of Light that is generated on Earth and in Us by the crescent moon. I feel that placing it in a house or space generates this energy that it constantly nourishes our daily lives, providing happiness, harmony, and abundance.

TALO

In Greek mythology, Talo is within the group of hours, which are the personifications or goddesses of the order of nature and the seasons; as such, they watch the gates of Olympus and promote fertility on earth.
In ancient Athens, Talo (Θαλλώ), the Hour of Spring, was adored as the hour of flourishing and prosperity.

Pege/ Fountain

Πεγε (Pēgē)  Greek meaning, source, origin, spring from whence the water of well-being, of abundance, of life emanates. Rivers spring in the mountains, and bring with in them natures strength and vitality.
In Greek mythology sources, springs resemble the deities that nourished and kept gods alive.

AFrodita

Ἀφροδίτη / AFRODITA.

In ancient Greece, Aphrodite Ἀφροδίτη was the goddess of love, beauty, and fertility. It was said to be born from the sea foam and the waves.
Aphrodite reminds us to venerate and honor the beauty of all that exists, To recognize in each one of us and in everything that surrounds us that divine perfection and beauty.

rio

gota de paz

Comes from the sensation and thought that whales provoke when exhaling and inhaling on the sea surface and spouting water or “drops of peace” from their blowhole. This reminds us of how a deep breath connects us to a peaceful state with our inner being and like whales, a deep inhalation gives us the strength and peace to strive in life’s journey.
