The monarchs and kings of antiquity kept among the jewels of the crown, an orb as a symbol of the globe, authority and responsibility of good government. It is said that they kept ashes inside the orb as a reminder of the transition of life and death and with it the humility necessary for self-control.
It is thus, for us that Orbe tries to remind us of the government of our own life and the humble responsibility towards, our fellow human beings, our environment, our world.
